Now you don't have to travel to Atlanta for a similar course, you have A.I.D.A. in or near your home town!!

This course is being taught by a practicing dentist and long time assistant. They know what is wanted, needed and expected by potential employers in this market. You will gain your knowledge in the setting of an actual dental office that performs general dentistry during the week. Classes are small and personal leading to a learning experience of the highest quality. You will gain all the core skills needed from greeting the patient to budgeting for supplies and much, much more in-between. Students may wish to continue their education after this course but continued education is not required. Having said that, it is always good to continue learning and keeping up with the CPR certification will be a minimal requirement in this field.

There are many job opportunities available for dental assistants from private general dental practices, dental specialist offices, government clinics, teaching institutions, to mobile dental units. People move in and out of areas, aging assistants retire and practices grow. There are many reasons why dental assisting positions become available and the dental profession is typically a stable one, in high demand overall. This is a career that you can travel all over the country and use (just check your state Radiology Safety requirements)! In the state of Georgia, dental assistants are required to be CPR Certified, and be Certified in Radiology Safety to perform their duties. Most offices require assistants to also have completed a Hepatitis B immunization course.

There is a lot to learn in our course in a short time, so be prepared for hard work.
